

Refilwe Moahi, M.Ed.
Refilwe Moahi, M.Ed. provides trauma therapy for women and is passionate about providing therapy to diverse communities such as immigrants and LGBTQIA+ individuals. She also speaks Setswana and French, which allows her to connect with multilingual clients and help them feel understood linguistically and culturally.

Her experiences as an international student in America from Botswana, has provided her with a unique skill to support professionals, young adults, and college students navigate change. These experiences have allowed Refilwe to develop an affirming, compassionate, and strengths-based approach. She will respect your lived experiences and will work collaboratively with you to achieve your therapy goals.
Refilwe will tailor feminist, multicultural, and person-centered approaches to mindfulness-based, narrative therapy, and trauma-informed therapy interventions, to support you. She also uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) techniques that will help you clarify your values at times when you may “feel stuck”.
Refilwe received a Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling and a Certificate in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Lehigh University. She also has a Master of Arts in Sustainable International Development from Brandeis University, and a Bachelor of Arts in French Studies and Politics & International Relations from Scripps College.
She has clinical experience providing individual counseling to women and trans adults of different ages in a non-profit setting, as well as facilitating a psychoeducational group for adolescent girls.
Refilwe has immediate new client availability for in-person and virtual therapy appointments. She also has some availability to provide an income-based sliding rate of $95 per appointment, if your annual income is below $45,000.
She is under the clinical supervision of Nicola Pierre-Smith, LPC.
