Position: Therapist, Independent Contractor

Melanated Women’s Health, LLC is a Black woman owned group therapy practice that values inclusive and anti-oppressive therapy services. The practice is in-network with many insurance plans, and manages all aspects of insurance credentialing, claims submission, and initial benefits verification (eg., copay, deductibles, co-insurance etc). This allows Therapists at the practice to focus on providing quality mental health therapy, without the administrative hassle. The Therapists who provide mainly telehealth at the group, find value in the monthly peer to peer group consultations and company sponsored social events throughout the year. These events are one of the ways the practice encourages connection beyond the work environment, to reduce isolation when working remotely for a group private practice.

Therapists at the practice are responsible for providing therapy services on an ongoing basis to an assigned caseload and to complete documentation (e.g., notes, treatment plans, etc.) that is required for best practices per licensure and insurance guidelines. Though a majority of our clients identify as Black, African-American, African, Afro-Latino, Afro-Caribbean, Asian, and or Biracial, across the gender spectrum, we serve other populations. Clients who seek therapy from Melanated Women's Health LLC are typically struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, grief/loss, relationship conflict, trauma, racism in various settings, family conflicts, and more. They are working professionals, college students, and young people who have the capacity and motivation for treatment in the private practice setting.

The Therapist, Independent Contractor position is ideal for you if you are available at various times in the weekday or on weekends, you can work independently, you value monthly case consultations, want exposure to a private practice clientele, and you are efficient with an electronic health records software.
