Brooke Scott, LSW
Brooke is a trauma therapist in Philadelphia who believes therapy is a space where clients can show up fully as themselves without masks, judgment, or pressure to explain their existence. She is passionate about creating safe, affirming environments where people feel seen, heard, and deeply supported in their healing journey.
She specializes in supporting women of color and LGBTQ+ individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, identity-related stress. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected from your body, Brooke is a good fit for you.
She is passionate about helping clients with:
- Overcoming the lingering impact of trauma (including racial, generational, and religious abuse).
- Coping with stress, grief and loss
- Navigating burnout, complex family dynamics and codependent patterns
- Sexual or gender identity concerns in the face of cultural, religious, or family pressures.
Brooke understands how isolating these experiences can be and offer a space where you don’t have to hide who you are.
Her approach is client-centered, culturally competent, trauma-informed and rooted in both compassion and curiosity. She uses evidence-based modalities like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, mindfulness practices, and relational therapy to help you gain clarity, set boundaries, process pain, and build emotional resilience.
Brooke has a Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Master of Divinity from Duke University, and a Bachelor of Social Work from Eastern University. Her professional background as a Licensed Social Worker and her pastoral experience in hospitals, shelters, congregations, and community-based programs informs her grounded, relational, and justice-oriented approach to providing mental health care.
